Belarus–Lithuania border

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Belarus–Lithuania border is an international border of 502 km length between Belarus and Lithuania.

The border goes mostly on land but crosses some lakes, e.g. Lake Drūkšiai and follows some rivers, e.g. Dysna River and Neman River.

On land, border stations are equipped with engineering and technical facilities (wired fences and the exclusion zone). Wired fences are used especially near roads. On some locations roads go along the fence, visible in Streetview: 54°16′40″N 25°22′50″E / 54.277654°N 25.380478°E / 54.277654; 25.380478, 54°16′29″N 25°33′47″E / 54.274848°N 25.563126°E / 54.274848; 25.563126 and 55°09′13″N 26°35′47″E / 55.153619°N 26.596313°E / 55.153619; 26.596313
