Behala Airport (ICAO: VEBA) (Bengali: বেহালা বিমানবন্দর) is located at Behala in the city of Kolkata, India. It is more commonly referred as Behala Flying Training Institute (BFTI) or Behala Flying Club (BFC). The ministry of Civil Aviation, India and Airports Authority of India (AAI) have plans to develop it into a full-fledged commercial airport by expanding the runway to 4,500 feet to ease the pressure on the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.
