Begun is a city and a municipality in Chittaurgarh district in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is also one of the historical town of Chittorgarh district. One of Mewar's important rivers, Brahmani, fllows through Begun. Begun also has a fort which is surrounded by a small river.Shahid Rupaji Karpaji freedom fighter lead "Begun Bijoliya Kisan Andolan" in leadership of Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik.

Begun is located at 24°59′N 75°00′E / 24.98°N 75.0°E / 24.98; 75.0.^[1] It has an average elevation of 412 metres (1351 feet).Begun have very good soil for agriculture.In begun tehsil a small village name kanthariya,in kanthariya the most beautiful bajrangbali temple name "shree chetanya balaji mandir,kanthariya" this temple's priest name shree ramnaresh das.This temple is on begun to ratangarh road in between rampuriya and galiyabavdi village.This temple is 16km far from begun and 18 km far from ratangarh.
