Begumganj (Bengali: বেগমগঞ্জ) is an Upazila of Noakhali District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Geography
Begumganj is located at 22°57′00″N 91°06′00″E / 22.9500°N 91.1000°E . It has 118361 units of house hold and total area 426.05 km².
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Begumganj has a population of 676168. Males constitute 49.2% of the population, and females 50.8%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 313911. Begumganj has an average literacy rate of 44.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
