Pamela Rose Martinez (born June 15, 1989) is an American professional wrestler working for WWE in its NXT developmental territory under the ring name Bayley.[1][3]

Professional wrestling career

Independent circuit (2008-2012)

After her debut as Davina Rose for Big Time Wrestling (BTW) in 2008, Rose wrestled solely for BTW into 2010, and would continue to wrestle for BTW until 2012. In 2011 and 2012, Rose branched out to wrestle for other promotions like the National Wrestling Alliance, Shimmer and Shine[4]

Pamela debuted in Shimmer Women Athletes on October 1, 2011 as "Davina Rose", appearing in SHIMMER volume 41, where she was defeated by Mercedes Martinez. Over the next couple of volumes, Rose would continue to lose to the likes of Portia Perez, Kellie Skater, Nicole Matthews and Saraya Knight in singles matches.

WWE (2013-present)

NXT Wrestling (2013-present)

Martinez made her WWE NXT debut at a live event competing under a mask as "Pamela". She made her televised debut on WWE NXT under the ring name "Bayley". In April, Bayley was defeated by Emma in a singles match.[5] She subsequently began using a "fangirl" gimmick. On the June 12, 2013 NXT, Bayley lost to the returning Alicia Fox in the first round of the NXT Women's Championship Tournament.[6] On the July 17 episode of NXT, Bayley was defeated by the debuting Charlotte.[7][8] On the August 21 edition of NXT, Bayley faced WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee for the Divas Championship in a losing effort. On the September 4 edition of NXT, Bayley teamed with Charlotte against Aksana and Alicia Fox in a winning effort resulting in Bayley's first win. On the September 25 edition of NXT, Bayley faced Sasha Banks in a losing effort.[9]On NXT taping #73 Bayley teamed with Charlotte in a losing effort to Summer Rae and Sasha Banks, when Charlotte turned on Bayley. On NXT taping #77 Bayley teamed with Natalya in a losing effort to Summer Rae and Sasha Banks. On NXT taping #80 Bayley defeated Summer Rae.
