Basicerotini is a tribe of ants in the subfamily Myrmicinae.[1] Baroni Urbani & de Andrade (2007) proposed a synonymization of Basicerotini with Dacetini and that all basicerotine genera be placed in the single genus Basiceros.[2] There is currently variable acceptance of Baroni Urbani & de Andrade's reclassification.[3]
