Basiceros is a genus of ant in the subfamily Myrmicinae.[1] Baroni Urbani & de Andrade (2007) proposed a synonymization of the tribe Basicerotini with Dacetini and that all basicerotine genera be placed in Basiceros.[2] There is currently variable acceptance of Baroni Urbani & de Andrade's reclassification.[3]
