Barwadih is a census town in Latehar district in the state of Jharkhand, India.
Geography
Barwadih is located at 23°50′N 84°07′E / 23.83°N 84.12°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 334 metres (1095 feet).
Betla National Park is situated 8 km from Barwadih.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Barwadih had a population of 7198. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Barwadih has an average literacy rate of 66%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
