Barney's Big Surprise (also known as La Gran Sorpresa de Barney in Latin America) was Barney the Dinosaur's first national tour. The show started in 1996 and the video was released in 1998. During the 1997 touring, it was the winner of Performance Magazines 1997 Readers Poll Award for Best Variety/Family Show Tour of the Year.[1] The show was taped at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
