Barguna Sadar (Bengali: বরগুনা সদর) is an Upazila of Barguna District in the Division of Barisal, Bangladesh.
Geography
Barguna Sadar is located at 22°09′03″N 90°07′35″E / 22.1508°N 90.1264°E . It has 41868 units of house hold and total area 454.39 km².
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Barguna Sadar has a population of 219729. Males constitute 50.7% of the population, and females 49.3%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 111209. Barguna Sadar has an average literacy rate of 37.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
