The Barehipani Falls (ବରେହିପାଣି ପ୍ରପାତ) is located in the core area of Simlipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Odisha.[1] It is amongst the higher waterfalls in India.[2]
Location
The waterfall is situated at 21.932759N 86.380145E on the Budhabalanga River flowing over the Meghasuni mountain.[3] The nearest railway station is at Baripada. The Joranda Falls is located nearby.[1] It is 120km far from a small town Jashipur.
The falls
The Barehipani Falls has a total height of 399 metres (1,309 ft).It is tiered waterfall with two drops. The tallest single drop is 259 metres (850 ft).[4]
