Barbus cyclolepis is a ray-finned fish species in the family Cyprinidae.
The Sperchios Barbel (B. sperchiensis), Strumica Barbel (B. strumicae) and Vistula Barbel (B. waleckii) are often included in the present species. B. waleckii might, however, actually be a hybridogenic species, perhaps derived from Common Barbel (B. barbus) females and Carpathian Barbel (B. carpathicus) males.
B. cyclolepis is found in Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey. Its natural habitats are rivers and intermittent rivers. It is not considered a threatened species by the IUCN.
