Barbara Dare (born February 27, 1963 in Wayne, New Jersey) is the stage name of a retired American pornographic actress. She has been a contract performer with Vivid Entertainment,[1] and has personal relationships with men and women.[2]

Career

Dare began appearing in adult films in the mid-80's and also making regular appearances in magazines such as Hustler, Swank, and High Society.[citation needed] In 1989, she joined fellow adult film actress Stephanie Swift as authors of a monthly article for Swank.[3]

Dare quickly become a top adult film star.[citation needed] Dare appeared in scenes with several (at the time) top adult films stars, including Tracey Adams and Ginger Lynn.[4] She became one of the first women in the industry to sign an exclusivity contract with a studio and would later leave that studio to sign with Vivid and become one of the earliest Vivid Girls.[5] She appeared in her last film in 1994.[6]
