Bant is a village in the Dutch province of Flevoland. It is a part of the municipality of Noordoostpolder, and lies about 7 km north of Emmeloord.
Bant was created in 1951 as one of ten planned villages around the new city of Emmeloord, which was constructed in 1943, in land reclaimed from the IJsselmeer. In 2001, Bant had 754 inhabitants. The built-up area of the village was 0.2 km², and contained 302 residences.[1]
Transportation
There is no railway station in Bant, but the nearest stations are in Kampen, Steenwijk and Lelystad.
