The Bangalore Marathon is a marathon running event in the Indian city of Bangalore. It was originally organised by Lipton, and first ran on May 15, 2005. The winners were K.C. Ramu of India (men's), and Marashet Jimma of Ethiopia (women's). The second marathon was scheduled for September 17, 2006. The winners were, in the full marathon men's division, H A Chinnappa, with a time of 2:35:19, in the full marathon women's division, Deepthi Ashok, with a time of 4:13:13, in the half marathon men's division, Irappa D Akki, with a time of 1:04:21, and in the half marathon women's division, K B with a time of 1:23:55.

Come, Run to Campaign for Green Bangalore ! Decathlon and Champion's Group Bangalore invites all the Bangaloreans to participate in a 10km-run on July 20 starting at the Decathlon sports shop on Sarjapura Road.[1] The Run is being organized as a tribute to the youth of Bangalore, their hard work and perseverance.[2][3][4] [5] [6]
