Banden Station (番田駅 Banden-eki) is an Echizen Railway Mikuni Awara Line railway station located in Awara, Fukui Prefecture, Japan.
Station
Only local trains serve Banden Station. There is one track serving a single platform, and the station is unstaffed.
Surrounding area
- Except for one or two homes, the station is surrounded by fields. The center of Awara can be seen in the distance, but Awara-Yunomachi and Awaraonsen stations are closer.
History
- December 30, 1928: Station opens.
- September 1, 1942: Keifuku Electric Railway merges with Mikuni Awara Electric Railway.
- June 25, 2001: Operations halted due to accident on the Echizen Main Line.
- August 10, 2003: Station reopens as an Echizen Railway station.
