Banco BANIF

BANIF Banca Privada was a Spanish bank and a subsidiary of the Santander Group. The bank became part of Santander's private banking global division in 2007. In 2013 it was merged with Banco Santander in Spain.

History

Established in 1962, BANIF was Spain’s largest private bank with €31,070,000,000 assets under management (as of 31 December 2009) and 56 branches located throughout the country.[citation needed]

BANIF recorded a pre-tax profit for 2009 of €38,000,000.

The Santander Group announced in December 2012 that it would merge Banco BANIF and Banesto into the existing Banco Santander business in Spain.[1]
