From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bamboleo is a Spanish word for swaying.
It is used very famously in the Venezuelan folk song Caballo Viejo from Simon Diaz. The lyrics say: "Bamboleo, Bambolea, Porque mi vida yo la prefiero vivir asi", referring to someone who lives life as they choose, perhaps old and resistant to change or settling down.
Bamboleo may also refer to:
- "Bamboléo", song by the Gipsy Kings on their self-titled album Gipsy Kings (an adaptation from the song "Caballo Viejo")
- Bamboleo, a Cuban salsa band based in Habana whose albums include boleros and reggaeton and who are noted in the article on Timba. Also see Spanish Wikipedia
- Bamboleo, nickname for Eudalio Arriaga, a Colombian football player
