Baltic Astronomy (ISSN 1392-0049) is a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astronomy (Vilnius, Lithuania) for astronomical institutions of the Baltic states. The journal was established in 1992. The journal covers all branches of astronomy and astrophysics, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science of Lithuania. The editor-in-chief is Vytautas Straižys. Publishing formats includes original papers, catalogs, reviews and conference proceedings.

History

The journal was preceded by the Vilnius Astronomijos Observatorijos Biuletenis (Bulletin of the Vilnius Astronomical Observatory), published from 1960–1992 by Vilnius University Observatory, in collaboration with the Institute of Physics and Mathematics.
