Balkundra is a census town in Hazaribagh district in the state of Jharkhand, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Balkundra had a population of 5,369. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Balkundra has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 61% of the males and 39% of females literate. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
