Balarampur is a census town under Budgebudge police station [1] of Alipur sadar subdivision in South 24 Parganas district in the state of West Bengal, India.
Geography
Balarampur is located at 22°20′N 88°18′E / 22.33°N 88.30°E.[2] It has an average elevation of 6 metres (20 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[3] Balarampur had a population of 4710. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Balarampur has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 56% of the males and 44% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
