Bajestan (Persian: بجستان, also Romanized as Bajestān, Bejestān, Bījestān, and Bījistān)[1] is a city in and the capital of Bajestan County, in Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 11,136, in 3,090 families.[2]
The most important products of Bajestan are saffron[3] and pomegranate.
The city has a dry climate with significant difference between day and night temperatures. It is a fast growing city, thus becoming one of the major centres in the south of Razavi Khorasan.
