Bagrat (Georgian: ბაგრატ, Armenian: Բագրատ) is a male name popular in Georgia and Armenia.

It is derived from the Old Persian Bagadāta, "gift of God".[1]

The dynastic names of the Bagratids (literally, "the house of/established by Bagrat") come from this name.
