Baghdad FC (Arabic: نادي بغداد), is an Iraqi football team based in Karkh District, West Districts of the Tigris River, Baghdad.
History
On July 1, 1957 Al-Baladiyat (Arabic: البلديات literally: Municipalities) were formed by the merger of Maslahat Naqil Al-Rukab (Arabic: مصلحة نقل الركاب literally: Passenger Transport Department) and Esalet Al-Mae (Arabic: إساله الماي literally: Water Liquefaction).[1] In 1977 Al-Baladiyat renamed to Al-Amana (Arabic: الأمانة),[2] until August 5, 2009 the team renamed again but to Baghdad FC.
Stadium
Since 2011 Baghdad FC have got their own stadium. The Baghdad Stadium holds 5,000 people.
