Babice [baˈbit͡sɛ] is a village in Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Babice. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-east of Chrzanów and 36 km (22 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.[1]
The village was founded on April 2, 1866 and has a population of 1,369.
