Owned by the Bank of China, the company provides operating lease and fleet financing services for airlines. BOC Aviation-owned aircraft are currently in service with airlines in Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, the Middle East and North and South America.
Air fleet
BOC Aviation currently owns 160 aircraft with an average age of approximately four years. A further 70 aircraft are on firm order until 2012.[1]
History
SALE was jointly owned by four shareholders:
On 15 December 2006, Bank of China bought out all four companies' shares for US$980m.[2][3] Thus, to reflect the change in ownership, the company was renamed BOC Aviation on 2 July 2007.
