BHEL Township, Hyderabad is a suburb of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. This has developed like other BHEL townships after Indian public sector engineering company BHEL started its operations here. Township is well known for it's greenery and lush green campus .large numbers of quarter need renovation work .Water supply may be a problem in certain quarters.hostels for ET's and supervisors have good facilities
Commercial area
There are many parks, sports complex and grounds in this area which are accessible only to the employees ( and large number of outsiders who have labour union connections ) . Also there is a community center ( union run ) , gym ( union run ), swimming pool( union run ), stadium ( union run ), tennis ( union run ), badminton ( union run ), basketball( union run ) and volleyball courts( union run ) built for the employees of BHEL but utilized mostly by the union and its cronies. Most of the sport facilities are pathetic compared to other government maintained areas such as DRDO , NFC, etc.

Nearest local train station to BHEL township is Lingampally, which is 3 km away from the township, hence more and more people are opting to live in this suburb.
The state-owned APSRTC runs the city bus service, connecting to all the major centres of the city. APSRTC connects BHEL Township to all parts of the city. It is also serviced by MMTS Train service.
The closest Hyderabad Metro Rail station is at Miyapur.

Security
Bhel Township is highly insecure and notpeaceful.Theft cases are common in township Qtrs.The township is open from all sides and has multiple access gates which are open at all times thus having free access.After dark , Open area's within the township ( Behind post office, in front of SBH,etc) are occupied by outsider and residents from outside colonies for fast food. BHEL Management although should develop markets and get private food junctions into the town.Some steps taken by the local administrations include police patroling in the late hours and policemen at every checkpost.
