Ascription

Ascription is the act of ascribing (attributing).

In Sociology, it is a way to acquire status, along with achievement or chance[1] - Cf. Ascriptive inequality.

In Philosophy, it is related to belief ascription.

It is as well a concept in Linguistics, refer to Predicate (grammar).
