Arthur McConnell Dollison (October 19, 1909 – May 14, 1983) was an American prison administrator. A graduate of Cambridge High School and Ohio Wesleyan University, he was the son of Frank Dollison, editor of The Jeffersonian.[1] Dollison became manager of industries at Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary on July 12, 1954, and would work at Alcatraz for 9 years until the institution closed in March 21 1963.[1][2] Along with Richard J. Willard he was further promoted to be the last Associate Warden of Alcatraz under Olin G. Blackwell from 1961.[3] During his term as Associate Warden he was involved in the investigation into the June 1962 escape from Alcatraz; he was acting warden at the time of the escape due to Blackwell being on vacation. He had a son named Phil Dollison and a daughter named Jolene Babyak.[3][2]
