Andre Schmid (academic)

Andre H. Schmid is a Canadian academic, author and Director of the Centre for the Study of Korea at the University of Toronto.[1]

Early life

Schmid was awarded his Ph.D. at Columbia University in New York.[2]

Career

Schmid is an assistant professor in Toronto's Department of East Asian Studies.[1] His research interests include the history of the cultural Cold War in post-Korean War peninsula as well as early twentieth century peasant movements.[3]
