American Ecclesiastical Review

The American Ecclesiastical Review was founded in 1889 and was the first American Roman Catholic journal dedicated to theological scholarship. It was published in Philadelphia until 1927, and then housed at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. until it ceased publication in 1975. It was edited by Msgr. Joseph Clifford Fenton, a peritus at the Second Vatican Council.
