Amari Cooper (born 1994) is an American football wide receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He is considered one of the best receivers in his class.[1]
Early years
Cooper attended Miami Northwestern High School in Miami, Florida, where as a junior was one of Teddy Bridgewater's primary targets and had 16 catches for 175 yards and four scores. As a senior he had 33 receptions for 722 yards. He was considered the sixth best wide receiver recruit by Rivals.com.[2]
College career
As a freshman in 2012, Cooper finished the regular season with 53 receptions for 895 yards and nine touchdowns.[3] In the 2013 BCS National Championship Game, Cooper returned to Miami, where he played high school football, and led all Alabama receivers with 105 yards and 2 touchdowns.
