Hanbin Yoo (born 3 August 1988), known by his stage name Amadéus Leopold, is a South Korean musician, performance artist, vocalist, composer, and violinist.
Early years
Amadéus Leopold was born Hanbin Yoo in Seoul, Korea. He immigrated to the United States at age 11, first attending the Renaissance Academy for Applied Scholastics before settling in Santa Monica, California to attend the Crossroads School. Following Itzhak Perlman's invitation to study with him at The Juilliard School, Leopold migrated at age 15 to New York City, growing up in The Bronx while attending high school at Professional Children's School in the Upper West Side. In 2009, Leopold relocated to the Lower East Side of Manhattan after withdrawing from Bachelor's degree program at The Juilliard School to focus on his musical career.
