Alfred C. Werner (born c. 1916) is an American football, basketball, soccer, and track coach and physical education professor in the United States. He earned a doctorate in physical education from Springfield College and taught at the University at Albany, SUNY, the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, the United States Military Academy, and Allegheny College.[1][2]
Coaching career
Werner was the head college football coach for the Allegheny Gators located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He held that position for the 1941 and 1942 seasons. His coaching record at Allegheny was 2 wins and 10 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #28 at Allegheny in total wins and #30 at the school in winning percentage (.167).[3]
