Alexander Petersson (born Aleksandrs Pētersons in Riga, Latvia on 2 July 1980) is an Icelandic handball player of Latvian and Baltic German origin, who currently plays for the Iceland national handball team and Füchse Berlin in The Handball-Bundesliga.
Alexander was voted the Icelandic sports person of the year 2010 by the Icelandic Sport Press Association.
