Adua and Friends (Italian: Adua e le compagne), also known as Hungry For Love, is a 1960 Italian film directed by Antonio Pietrangeli with a collaborative screenplay by the film's director together with Ruggero Maccari, Ettore Scola and Tullio Pinelli. The plot concerns the efforts of four prostitutes to eke out a living after being thrown out of their jobs by enactment of the Merlin Law, which shut down Italy's legalized brothels.
Plot
Adua is a prostitute who along with three friends working in so-called "brothels" in Rome. However, for a special law these apartments are seized and prostitutes are found in the street. The girls, however, do not give wins to open a restaurant, living happy and earning a lot of money. But a man's going to exploit them as their own need to get rich ...
