Ado Schlier

Ado Schlier (born 21 January 1934 in Würzburg) is a German television presenter, journalist, Television director and actor.

Career

Schlier started his broadcating career on Rai Sender Bozen before joining Radio Bremen in 1961 and became associated with jazz music. Between the years of 1977 and 1999 he hosted various programmes for RB and ARD including Eurovision commentary for ARD television viewers on eight consecutive year from 1979 until 1986. Schlier has written for various magazines including Münchner Merkur, Augsburger Allgemeine and Playboy.
