Adam Weinstein is an American journalist, best known for his work on the blog Gawker.[1]
After attending the United States Naval Academy from 1996 to 1998, Weinstein went on to receive a BA in philosophy and an MS in journalism from Columbia University and an MA from Florida State University. He has had several different jobs in the reporting business including positions at Mother Jones, the Wall Street Journal and the Tallahassee Democrat. He worked in Iraq in 2008 and 2009. He is currently working as a staff writer for Gawker Media.
In a 2013 post on Gawker, he published a police photograph showing the body of Trayvon Martin that had been used at the trial of George Zimmerman and inadvertently shown on MSNBC.[2] Gawker's decision to publish the photograph was questioned by some media sources.[3]
