Abdul Husain Husamuddin

Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin (Arabic: عبد الحسين حسام الدين) (Birth: 10 Moharram 1239H / 15 September 1823CE. Death: 27 Zilhajjah 1308H / 27 July 1891CE, Ahmedabad, India) was the 48th Da'i of the Dawoodi Bohra sect of Mustaali Ismaili Shia Islam. He succeeded the 47th Dai Syedna Abdul Qader Najmuddin to the religious post of Dai.

Syedna Abdul Husain Husamuddin became Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1302H[1]/1885CE. His period of Dawat was from 1302-1308H (1885-1891CE) for about 6 years 5 months.

Hussamuddin acquired religious knowledge from Syedi AbdealiImmaduddin and further educated Syedna Abdullah Badruddin (50th Dai) and Syedi Abdeali Mohyuddin. They in turn passed on it to the 51st Dai Syedna Taher Saifuddin.

Syedna Abdul Hussain Hussamuddin became mukasir at the age of 32 years and was elevated to mazoon four years later.
