89735 Tommei (provisional designation: 2002 AM) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Andrea Boattini and Luciano Tesi at the Pistoia Mountains Astronomical Observatory in San Marcello Pistoiese, Italy, on January 4, 2002. It is named after Giacomo Tommei, an Italian mathematician at the University of Pisa.
