7450 Shilling is a Main-belt asteroid discovered by G. A. Plyugin and Yu. A. Belyaev at Cerro El Roble on July 24, 1968. The asteroid is named for Pavel LĀ“vovich Shilling, a Russian inventor who invented a useful electric telegraph for practical use. He also investigated the origin of various Asian languages.
