5483 Cherkashin (1990 UQ11) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on October 17, 1990 by L. I. Chernykh at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. It is named after Andrej Andreevich Cherkashin (1920–1993), literary scholar and historian, researcher of Alexander Pushkin's genealogy.[1]
