    4628 Laplace (1986 RU4) is a main belt asteroid that was discovered on September 7, 1986 by E. W. Elst at the Rozhen Observatory in Bulgaria.

    Photometric observations of this asteroid reported in 1996 show a rotation period of 9.011 ± 0.005 hours.[1]
