3071 Nesterov (1973 FT1) is an outer main-belt asteroid discovered on March 28, 1973, by T. Smirnova at Nauchnyj. It is named for Pyotr Nesterov, a pilot of the Imperial Russian Air Force, and the first pilot to perform the aerobatic maneuver known as a loop.
