3027 Shavarsh (1978 PQ2) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on August 8, 1978 by N. Chernykh at Nauchnyj. This is named after the Soviet-Armenian swimming Champion and hero Shavarsh Karapetyan, who saved over 20 people from a trolley that fell to the bottom of a lake.
