2930 Euripides

2930 Euripides is a small main belt asteroid, which was discovered by Cornelis Johannes van Houten, Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels in 1960. It is named after Euripides, the ancient Greek dramatist.

Euripides is a C-type asteroid, meaning that it is dark in colour, and carbonaceous in composition.
