2017 Winter Universiade

The 2017 Winter Universiade, the XXVIII Winter Universiade, is a multi sport winter event which will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan.[1]
Bid selection
The cities of Almaty, Kazakhstan, Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Changchun, China, Sapporo, Japan and Gangwon, South Korea were in contention for the Games. On November 29, 2011, FISU announced that the host would be Almaty.
