- 10 - A series of terrorist attacks killed more than 100 people in Quetta.[1]
- 6 Death of Qazi Hussain Ahmed, a political leader, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami pakistan.

March
- 9 - Thousands of angry protestors set ablaze more than 100 houses of Pakistani Christians over a blasphemy row in the eastern city of Lahore. Over 3,000 Muslim protestors turned violent over derogatory remarks allegedly made by a young Christian, Sawan Masih, 28 against Prophet Muhammad in a Christian neighbourhood in Badami Bagh area.
- Mir Hazar Khan Khoso is appointed as caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan from 25 March effectively, following the completion of the PPP-led government's term in office. Khoso will oversee the general elections scheduled in May.[2]

- A School Bus Explosion kills seventeen children and injuries seven more in Gujrat.[3]

- Nawaz Sharif is elected as Prime Minister of Pakistan, following the Pakistan Muslim League (N)'s victory in the 2013 general election. Sharif took oath as Prime Minister on 5 June.

- Mamnoon Hussain was elected as president in 2013 Presidential election, he will be sworn in as the 12th president of Pakistan on 9 September.

- People of Pakistan celebrated 67th independence day of their country on 14 August.

- 1st November Hakimullah Mehsud, leader of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed by a US drone attack.
- General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani retires from his position of Chief of Army Staff for 6 years, He retired at 29th November 2013, His position of COAS was succeeded by General Raheel Sharif

- Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry retired from his position, he remained in the Supreme Court from 2005 to 2013, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani succeeded his position and becomes new CJ of Supreme court of Pakistan

- January 4 — Anwar Shamim, 81, Pakistani Air Force air marshal, Chief of Air Staff (1978–1985).[5]
- January 6 — Qazi Hussain Ahmad, 74, Pakistani politician, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (1987–2009), cardiac arrest.[6]
- August 5 — Quraish Pur, 81, Scholar, Urdu writer/novelist, columnist and media expert died after a protracted illness.[7]
