2014–15

The 2013–14 Azadegan League is the 13th season of the second-level football league competition of Iran. The league is composed of 26 teams which will be drawn into two divisions of 13 teams each. Each group will have a home and away round robin format for the total of 24 matches.

In each division, one team will be promoted to Iran Pro League, and one team enters into a promotion play-off and two teams will be relegated to the third-level Second Division. In total, the league promotes two/three teams to Iran Pro League and relegates four teams to the Second Division.

The draw was made on 22 August 2013 and the league was started on 22 September 2013.[1]

Changes

  • 2013–14 Azadegan League are the first season since 2008 that 26 teams will participate in the competition. In the previous season, 28 teams participated in the league.
  • Padideh Shandiz bought Mes Sarcheshmeh and came to the Azadegan League.[2]
  • Sang Ahan withdrew from participating in football. Estilae Kavir bought their license. Estilae Kavir was sponsored By Yazd Louleh Company and changed the name to Yazd louleh.[3][4]
