1597 Laugier (1949 EB) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on March 7, 1949 by Louis Boyer at Algiers.
It was probably named after French astronomer and asteroid discoverer Marguerite Laugier (1896–1976), but possibly (also) after French astronomer Paul Auguste Ernest Laugier (1812–1872).
